PAMP

The Pavilion Area Master Plan, also known as PAMP is in full planning mode. It outlines five different districts already named the Entry District, The North Entertainment District, The Central Amusement District, The South District and the Beach District.

There are plans to attract tourists and locals as well to a more attractive, upscale

downtown, which proposes to be safer and more family friendly while still holding on to it's Myrtle Beach "fun in the air" atmosphere. Smaller businesses are sprucing up to take advantage of these new changes and many of our local traditions will remain intact.

While this is true most of Myrtle Beach is catching the feel of excitement and change. New business and high-rises are being drawn to us and the ocean isn't going anywhere. The Beach District that will lie between the ocean and Ocean Blvd. will feature a boardwalk that runs the length of the redeveloped area. Also available for families will be beachfront parks and street end access points to the shore.

The Amusement District will be home to larger structures to provide space for a variety of events and activities throughout the year and the Pavilion block will be restored to "recapture the historic oceanfront activities and environment of years ago. Keep a check at Myrtle Beach Living to stay on top of how this important Myrtle Beach Project is going.
