"Tribute the Concert”

Myrtle Beach Shows Holiday Shows

Calvin Gilmore has announced that he will debut a new production, “Tribute the Concert” on Friday, March 5, 2004 in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. Gilmore is best known as entertainer, producer and owner of the most successful and longest running Grand Strand theatrical production, “The Carolina Opry”.

“Tribute, featuring six of the nation’s top tribute acts as the heart of the show, will be performed nightly in the North Myrtle Beach theater originally designed & built for an earlier Gilmore production that ran from 1989 through 1995.

“Tribute will have the same high production standards that have made the Carolina Opry a long-running success,” said Gilmore. “We have assembled the most talented tribute artists ever seen on the Strand and we are sparing nothing with regard to staging and costuming.

The “Tribute” show will feature tributes to new legendary performers every three months. The first set of performers will be on stage from March through June portraying The Blues Brothers, Johnny Mathis, Cher, Little Richard, Dolly Parton, and a surprise celebrity to be named.

The Tribute theater is located at 701 Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. The 20,000 square foot theater seats 1,000 and has been refurbished for Gilmore’s new production.

The opening curtain of the show will be at 8 P.M. March 5. Shows will play Monday through Saturday evenings, and some matinees are planned. A special introductory price of $15 is available for all March performances.
