Tournament of Players Club
| The Tournament of Players Club, designed by Tom Fazio and Lanny
Wadkins, is more than a game of golf; it is also an experience with
nature. Golf is the primary focus here and the challenge is intense.
In these low country wetlands surrounded by towering pines, this
course is said to be "menacing". More than 70 bunkers,
around medium-large greens, protect holes and targets. Many of the
fairways have a definite slope. There are alternate routes for higher
handicapped players. |

| As noted in The
Myrtle Beach Golf Insider, a great reference to many of the
magnificent courses in the Myrtle Beach area, The Tournament of
Players Club “highlighted the area's shift to more high-end
golfing. It is a classic looking course with tight fairways and
well-guarded greens. As is the tradition in the low country it features
water holes and wetlands. Towering pine trees provide a peaceful
place to play this very challenging course." |

| TPC was the site for the final round of the 1999 Dupont World
Amateur Championship and was a finalist of the Toyota National Golf
Skills Challenge.
Not only is The Tournament of Player's Club a golf challenge,
but it is a visual delight as well. It is certified in the Audubon
Cooperative Sanctuary Program and is one of the most scenic on
the Grand Strand proving once again that change, progress, and
preservation can walk hand in hand.
The Tournament of Player's Club is located on the South Strand
in Murrells Inlet, South of downtown Myrtle Beach. The Myrtle
Beach Resort has included it in fall golf packages this year along
many others that you will be seeing featured here and in Myrtle
Beach Golf Insider. You can see the Tournament of Player's Club
in their Supreme Package. For a look at these updated fall golf
packages Click
