Sun Fun Festival in Myrtle Beach

The Annual Sun Fun Festival Kickoff Ceremony will be held at Grand Park across from the Market Common near the old air force base in Myrtle Beach. The event draws locals and visitors out for a good time, with good food, music and fun every year. This year we look forward to tethered hot air balloon rides and an opportunity to meet Ruben Studdard of American Idol. He will be singing the national anthem and meeting people at our Sun Fun Festival this year.

Beach Bouncers will provide a great Kid's Zone on the south side of the lake at the park with inflatable rides and games for all ages.

For musical entertainment look for the Dixieland Cat Scratchers, Exile, and Latitude. You will also have an opportunity to meet Ace Young of American Idol and Demi Lovato from the Disney movie Camp Rock.

Stay all day and end the evening with a great fireworks display. This is only the start of a great summer season at Market Common's Grand Park. Every week enjoy free music and free family fun.
