The Sun Fun Festival® is a federally trademarked name owned by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. Hawaiian Tropic provides the scholarships and products for each contestant. This year is the first Miss Sun Fun USA and Miss Sun Fun Teen USA pageant, a preliminary to the Miss South Carolina USA and Miss South Carolina Teen USA pageants!

June 1- 6 - MYRTLE BEACH SUN FUN SAND CASTLE - Starting June 1, professional sand sculptors will create a sand sculpture beachfront at Myrtle Beach Pavilion to reflect what Sun Fun is known for, “Summer Starts Here!”

June 2 - MILLER LITE/SMIRNOFF ICE BEACH MUSIC CONCERT FEATURING A REUNION CONCERT BY THE ORIGINAL SWINGIN’ MEDALLIONS AND THE NEW SWINGIN’ MEDALLIONS - 7:30-10 p.m., Center stage, Myrtle Beach Pavilion, 9th Ave. N. and Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach. Supported by Beach Music Association International. Bring your beach chairs, no coolers. Free.

June 3 - CELEBRITY BOARDWALK CEREMONY & THE PASSING OF THE CROWN - 6:30 p.m., Honoring John Boy & Billy of the Big Show. See the first ever Miss Sun Fun USA and Teen USA receive their official crown presented by the reigning Sun Fun queens, Nina Tuttle and Ashley Cannon. Myrtle Beach Pavilion, 9th Ave. N. and Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach. Free.
June 3 - THE BOB DYLAN SHOW FEATURING BOB DYLAN, WILLIE NELSON and THE GREENCARDS - 6:30-10:30 p.m., Coastal Federal Field, 21st Ave. N., Myrtle Beach. Tickets available at Box Office, 918-6000, (877) 918-TIXX, $49.50, ages under 12 Free.

June 4 - MISS BIKINI WAHINE 2006 BEAUTY CONTEST - A Preliminary to Miss Hawaiian Tropic - 12:30 p.m., With host queen Ashley Cannon, Miss Bikini Wahine 2005. June 4 - MYRTLE BEACH PAVILION SUN FUN AIR SHOW - 2-4 p.m., Featuring U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, Red Baron Pizza Squadron, U.S. Air Force A-10 Warthog Tac Demo and P-38 WWII Heritage Warbird, Iron Eagle Aerobatic Team, Jim Varden, Eric Beard - “Russian Thunder”, Bob Cox - “American Thunder”, and Scott Gerow.
