The number 3 reason people come to Myrtle Beach (following
the ocean and golfing) is to participate in that ever-popular
activity called shopping. It appeals to all ages, sexes and
it can fit into every budget. Also, the Travel Industry Association
of America rates shopping as #1 on the list of travelers’
activities.
The Grand Strand is doing their part to provide the best of
the best. Whether you are visiting for a week, are a winter
resident, or are just coming for that holiday bargain, shopping
in Myrtle Beach can be both rewarding and fun!
Myrtle Beach offers three huge factory outlet centers as well
as three shopping malls. You can spend an entire day at either
of the mega-shopping complexes Broadway at the Beach or Barefoot
Landing, which feature an assortment of retail shops, boutiques,
and galleries. Other choices steer you further south into Pawley’s
Island and Georgetown, where you’ll find a peaceful Lowcountry
setting with many specialty shops.
After you visit these shopping venues, take a ride west to
downtown Conway. Its river town style is reminiscent of yesteryear,
yet its stores provide modern upscale products and services.
It could be said that the phrase “Shop ‘til you
drop” was coined with the Grand Strand in mind. Here the
toughest challenge you’ll find is being limited to twenty-four
hours in one day! Regardless of where you are shopping on the
Strand, you will be satisfied with your experience (and don’t
forget your bargains!).
