Ripley's Aquarium

Ripley's Aquarium opened at Broadway at the Beach in 1997. It is an 87,000 square-foot attraction featuring the worlds longest moving glide path through a 750,000 gallon aquarium. Be surrounded on all sides by sharks of all varieties, stingrays, and other fascinating sea life. Be sure to take a look at the tropical fish aquarium that is the size of two movie screens and filled with beautifully colored fish from around the world.

The Ripley's Aquarium is more than just seeing these exquisite creatures. It also gives visitors an opportunity to pick up a horseshoe crab and pet a stingray.

This month was a special time for Ricky McRae, of Rockingham NC, at the Ripley's Aquarium. He was the 10 millionth guest to enter the aquarium since it's opening and won a trip to Gatlinburg, TN where Ripleys has several other attractions. Congratulations Ricky! And thanks for visiting in Myrtle Beach SC.
