Calvin Gilmore opened the Carolina Opry in 1986.
Since then it has won every major South Carolina tourism award.
It has been featured on NBC Nightly News, CNN and TNN. It was
voted the Best Show by readers of the Myrtle Beach Sun News.
Since opening the Carolina Opry, Calvin Gilmore
made his own Grand Ole Opry debut on April 29, 2003 and he usually
performs at the Carolina Opry two or three times a week. |
