E Noodles & Co., a new eatery at 400 20th Ave. S., offers a variety of appetizer-size dishes that can be eaten as hors d'oeuvres or paired together to make a meal. Dim sum is the name for various dainty Chinese delicacies that can be prepared in many ways - dumplings, spring rolls, shiitake mushrooms stuffed with chicken, fried stuffed tofu, shrimp and vegetable tempura, crab rangoon, stuffed eggplant and more.

Nico's of NY Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria is Garden City Beach's newest Italian restaurant, located at 3030 U.S. 17 Business, in the building that formerly housed Golden China Restaurant. Nico's offers a lunch buffet 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. weekdays. Sauce and pizza dough are made fresh daily

Blue Water Bistro and Bakery has opened on 61st Ave. where Latif's Bakery used to be.

Big Daddy's is located downtown at 306 W. Broadway. They serve "down home favorites" for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Jimmy B. Cricket's Restaurant & Bar, at 4660 U.S. 17 Bypass just south of Waccamaw Hospital, offers seafood, steaks, Lowcountry classics and creative combinations such as grilled chicken with lobster ravioli.

Logan's, Smoky Joe's, and Red Lobster are set to open soon. They are located on out-parcels of the new Coastal Grand Mall. Buckhead Brewery will be opening inside the mall.
