Myrtle Beach Gets National Publicity

Two Myrtle Beach Events gain National attention. The World's Tallest Sand Castle built during last month's Sun Fun Festival will be rebuilt by the Florida company Team SandTastic in New York City's Rockefeller Plaza and featured on the NBC "Today Show". This exposure is an exceptional opportunity to make the national public more aware of Myrtle Beach and of South Carolina.

An even larger opportunity, that Myrtle Beach will be looking forward to is landing a Democratic presidential primary debate in January. Officials are more than marginally hopeful that this probability will become a reality.

A spokesperson, Georgella Muirhead, for the Congressional Black Caucus Institute said that it is looking good for Myrtle Beach however, no contracts have been signed. The Congressional Black Caucus Institute, a Washington based think tank is sponsoring the debate.

"The debate would bring thousand of people to the area, during our slowest seasons and would bring the type of exposure and publicity the city couldn't possibly pay for", our elected officials are quoted as saying in a recent article in the Sun News.
