The Carolina
Opry Christmas Spectacular is a true variety show complete
with music, dancing, and Christmas comedy. Some of its recurring
favorites are the Star of Bethlehem, which has been a part of
the Spectacular since the show’s beginning in 1986, and
the one-man portrayal of the Twelve Days of Christmas. What
once began as a three-show performance has now become a month
long review of theatrical talent. This year shows will be performed
from November 1- January 1.
Alabama
Theatre, Thirteen year old Victoria Huggins is back for
her eighth season in The South’s Grandest Holiday Show,
which will include 5,000 dance moves, elaborate costumes, and
live music. The show will begin November 1 and be performed
six nights a week through New Year’s Eve. Tickets may

What happens when elves from the North Pole meet elves from
the South Pole? Snow fight! This is something you might encounter
when watching Christmas at Dixie, the Yuletide show hosted by
the Dixie
Stampede. Elves from both sides will stop to serve dinner,
of course. The Stampede is one of the few shows in Myrtle Beach
that comes complete with entertainment and a good meal. Stop
by Dolly’s for some good food and Christmas cheer. Tickets
can be purchased at www.dixiestampede.com
; the show runs from November 10 until December 31.
So, if you come to the beach and find yourself in a Christmas
quandary, look into one of these fine performances to bring
you some Christmas cheer-you might just start your own Myrtle
Beach Christmas tradition.
