An interesting way to get Off the Beaten Track
in Myrtle Beach is to hook up with Smitty and his gang and join
a Moped Rides. SmC Mopeds and Customs club is a Myrtle Beach
based moped club located on 2nd Ave. and South Kings Highway.

They are Regional Riders with the Moped Riders Association and
host and attend MRA sanctioned and sponsored Moped Rides. The most
recent ride was in Myrtle Beach this month on June 3, 2006.
Moped Rides are not this group’s only enthusiasm. Having
been a mechanic for most of his life and developing a passion
for the smaller more detailed work of building moped engines Robert
"Smitty" Smith is known for his "Powered by Smitty"
Racing Moped Engines. He can make what would normally be a 30
horsepower motor run off road at over 50 miles an hour.
Not only does SmC build, and repair moped engines they also have
a selection of new mopeds for customers to choose from and with
the gas crunch upon us it does seem to be worth thinking about.
