The Myrtle Beach State Park

There are numerous ways to spend a great day at the Myrtle Beach state park. If you are not camping or staying in the park itself, take it from a local and splurge on the four dollar admission fee to enjoy the park all day. If you think you may want to go somewhere for a meal and come back later that is no problem. The same pass is good all day.

While you are there, enjoy the beach, in an area known to locals as one of the least crowded. The park is a great place to learn about maritime nature with unusual trees, a nature trail and a nature center that offers activities for children presented by Ann the Naturalist throughout day.

Have a picnic, fly a kite, or just do some fishing. A day spent at Myrtle Beach State Park is a day well spent.
