Grand Strand Boat Show January 16-18

This is the 20th year that the Grand Strand Boat Association has presented the Boat Show at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Exhibitors will be displaying state-of-the-art boats, equipped with the latest features.

Bring your kids too. They will have a great time in the Kids Fair area, giving you time to enjoy the Show. The Kids Fair will have a jumping booth, balloons, story telling, animals, and more, including visits by Scooby Doo and Sponge Bob.

This year’s show will also include two Fashion Shows, featuring all kinds of casual sportswear for men and women. There will also be a Bathing Suit Contest on Saturday.

Low Country Barbershop Chorus - January 17

The Low County Barbershop Chorus presents "Barbershop - Nice & Easy" including the Champion Quartets "Endeavor" and "InDEciSIon?"

Seashells by the Seashore - January 22

Explore the fascinating world of seashells at the Myrtle Beach State Park, one of the last natural areas remaining along the South Carolina coast. Learn how to identify the treasures found on the beach and how these animals live.

Examine some live specimens during the indoor portion of the progam and then take a stroll down the state park beach to see what treasures the ocean has washed ashore.

Coastal Concert Association presents B.J. Ward - January 29

B.J. Ward, a remarkable singer and comedienne, makes opera fun and funny. His performance will keep you laughing from beginning to end.

Long Bay Symphony January 31

On January 31 The Long Bay Symphony will perform, "International Moods", a program with music from Italy, Sweden, Austria, Spain and America. Performances will include: Copland’s Quiet City, Rossini’s Italian in Algiers Overture, Söderlundh’s Oboe Concertino, Hummel's Trumpet Concerto and Falla’s El Amor Brujo.

Legends of the Forest - February 5

Learn what makes the maritime forest at Myrtle Beach State Park so unique. Discover this special environment from the comfort of your indoor chair. Use slides, biofacts, and live animals to explore the natural history of a variety of plants and animals that inhabit the forest.

Myrtle Beach Marathon - February 21

Flat, Fast, Furious and Fun the course runs through the streets of Myrtle Beach. Start at Coastal Federal Field on 21st Ave N. Run on Ocean Blvd along the Atlantic Ocean and return to the Finish at Coastal Federal Field. Every runner receives a Finisher's Medal on crossing the finish line.
