Blessing of the Inlet

The Blessing of the Inlet in Murrells Inlet began 12 years ago as a children's Sunday school class project. Since then the event has grown to be a highly anticipated, local tradition.

Held in beautiful Murrells Inlet, the focus of this event is to give back some of the blessings that the inlet waterway has given to us: a bounty of fresh seafood, peaceful scenery, a haven for rare birds and protected wild life as well as a serene environment that draws people from around the world to a place where they can enjoy a respite from their busy lifestyles.

The ceremony to Bless the Inlet will be lead by the Reverend Mike Alexander of Belin Memorial United Methodist Church at 11:30. This is followed by food, fun, performances by area school talent and fellowship. We thank Belin Memorial United Methodist Church for continuing this important event and for the support of the local community.
