Huntington Beach State Park

Huntington Beach state Park is one of the best places along the Grand Strand to catch a glimpse of native wildlife in its natural habit. Birders have been coming to the park for years to see some of the 300 species that have been recorded here.

As you drive along the waterway, don't be surprised to see lazy alligators sleeping in the sun. If more then a glimpse is what you are looking for, then visit the 2500 square foot Education Center.

The Education Center features a saltwater touch tank and a live baby alligator for a more up close experience. There are many other exhibits in the Center to open your eyes to the importance of human beings working with their natural community.

The park and center are open year round from 10:00am to 5:00pm and the admission is 5.00 for adults, 3.00 for youths age 6-15. For children 5 and under the admission is free. Bring the family and a picnic to enjoy, a time to be remembered under some definitely, funky beach trees.

Huntington Beach State Park is located 3 miles south of Murrells Inlet (where the best local seafood in Myrtle Beach can be found) on Highway 17.
