The Hard Rock Theme Park
is Scheduled to Open 2007

After two years of debating the issue, It looks like we're are going to be seeing the Hard Rock Theme park while we head over the bridge, on 501, to the beach. Where we used to see Waccamaw factory outlet stores there will be some new rides and roller coasters and another Hard Rock Cafe.

Two friends started Hard Rock Cafe in London England over twenty years ago. Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton began by serving “typical American fare” (You guessed it! Hamburgers at a modest price.) The atmosphere that paid homage to Rock and Roll music was unique in being a museum of rock and roll memorabilia from around the world. Global expansion began in 1982 when the friends agreed to expand in two different directions. Later they individually sold their parts of the business to large corporations who bought and sold through the years. The company finally reconsolidated, when Rank bought Hard Rock America and Hard Rock Canada.

Now we are going to have the first Hard Rock theme park in Myrtle beach SC. The park promises loud music. Steel Roller Coasters and typical Hard Rock Cafe Fare. "You are going to rock while you roll," said Jon Binkowski, who has lead the effort to develop the park. Binkowski is formerly vice president of entertainment for Sea World and owner of Renaissance Entertainment, a production company based in Orlando, FL

The park also promises 3000 jobs for Myrtle Beach locals and something else for beach bound tourists to experience while relaxing at Myrtle Beach.
