Hard Rock Update

Myrtle Beach is the best place possible for the first Hard Rock Cafe theme park. It is also a place with an ever-changing, upward moving, story. Already known as the second most popular vacation spot on the East Coast, Myrtle Beach has been home to Rock n’ Roll roots and roller coasters for the past several generations. There is no better spot to plant this endeavor.

Heritage Plantation Golf CourseJust about anyone who has ever visited Myrtle Beach looks forward to rides. Screaming roller coasters, eerily haunted houses, and break neck tilt-a-whirls. It seems only natural that the traditional carnival days of the Grand Strand are about to erupt into a family experience that is the most talked about since Disney among theme park enthusiasts. With private investments of 400 million dollars to work with and acres of space to accommodate as many as thirty thousand visitors, HRP Myrtle Beach Operations LLC, announced the names of the attraction suppliers at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo in Atlanta GA, in November 2006.

These suppliers are six of the industry's biggest ride manufacturers and "each of the six were challenged to deliver innovative features to their attractions to enhance the appeal and uniqueness of each experience. Bolliger and Mabillard designed the park's signature coaster. "B&M has joined forces with Hard Rock Park and created a coaster that takes the audio experience to the next level by truly choreographing the entire ride experience to an incredible Hard Rock classic by Led Zeppelin.

We are anticipating more than a few new rides choreographed to classic rock favorites when The Hard Rock Theme Park is completed. It is scheduled to open this April 2008 and season passes are already on sale. Keep watching Myrtle Beach Living for more information about the new Hard rock Theme Park.
