2003 National Father & Son Team Classic

This summer Nike Golf will once again travel to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to participate as title sponsor and golf equipment partner of The 2003 National Father & Son Team Classic, the largest three-day father and son golf competition in the world. Entering its sixth year, the upcoming golf tournament is scheduled for July 24-26, 2003. Classic organizers expect 1,500 golfing families to participate in this year's event. The 2002 event drew more than 1,300 players from 46 states and 6 countries.

Military Veterans, active Military personnel and their families from across the country will come together in Myrtle Beach for fun and golf and May 19-22, 2003 during the Veterans' Golf Classic!

If you've never been to this yearly fun event, bring the family and enjoy some good times. You'll enjoy the Waiters Olympics, 5k run and walk, tasting events, fashion shows, fireworks, and more. Broadway at the Beach will also be having an Easter Parade on April 19th. Walk with Prince Sparks and all his friends, starting at the Visitors' Center and ending at Carousel Park.

Bass Pro Shops with 16 retail locations, will soon open in the former K-Mart at Colonial Mall . The Colonial Mall store will also include a 12,000-square-foot restaurant called Islamorada Fish Co. (To view some of their favorite recipes, click HERE!)

2003 will also include continuing progress on the new Mall of South Carolina near the airport on U.S. 17 Bypass just south of U.S. 501. It's scheduled to open in 2004 and will include Belk, Dillard's and Sears. Bed, Bath & Beyond is negotiating for space next to Dillard's. The mall also is reserving space for a stadium-seating cinema, and an additional 57 acres around the mall have been set aside for free-standing businesses
