Gullah O’oman Shop
| Gullah is a culture and a language with roots dating back to the tribes of Africa. Native Africans brought as slaves to America, also brought this beautiful and diverse culture with them. Vermell and Andrew Rodrigues are the founders of the Gullah O'oman Shop, which is as much of a museum as it is a shop. Mrs. Rodrigues was raised Gullah in South Carolina and upon retirement she and her husband returned to open the shop in Pawleys.
