The Grand Strand is a saltwater fisherman’s paradise, with direct access to the Atlantic Ocean, as well as an abundance of saltwater channels and creeks. The area is home to several companies providing headboats and charters. If you’re not ready to head out to sea, you can fish from any one of several area piers.

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors the annual Grand Strand Fishing Rodeo. Anglers of all ages enter pier, surf and inlet, and deep-sea catches for a chance to win cash and other prizes.
