When is the best time to be in Myrtle Beach? Well, of course we know that it's always fun to be at the beach! But just ask any local their favorite season, and most of them will say there is nothing like the fall.
September and October are my favorite times to be
at the beach. Even though the temperatures are a bit cooler,
the summer crowds have gone home and the shores are practically
deserted. The average air temperature in September is 84 degrees
and the average water temperature is 80. This is a great time
for shell collecting, fishing, nature watching, or just strolling
along the water's edge with your family. Bring a net bag,
for you will find many treasures on the beach this time of
year. If you like visiting when there are less tourists
around, consider some other factors such as accommodation
