South Carolina Watercolor Society
November 2 - 26, 2006

A perennial favorite, the South Carolina Watercolor Society’s annual juried exhibition comes through the auspices of the South Carolina State Museum’s Traveling Exhibits Program. With approximately 30 works of every imaginable style, but all in the aqueous medium, this exhibit brings much pleasure to viewers. It’s not uncommon for works to be purchased from this show, for its appeal is generally universal. The coastal area boasts some very gifted watercolorists and, as a rule, they are juried in ways that always please the local visitors.

South Carolina State Bluegrass Festival
November 23 - 25, 2006

Annual Intercoastal Christmas Regatta
November 26, 2006

"The original" decorated boat parade is a Myrtle Beach tradition. Proceeds from the Regatta are donated to local charities in Horry County. Prizes are awarded to the best-decorated boats.

12th Annual Broadway at the Beach Tree Lighting
November 18, 2006

You must see Broadway at the Beach light up the night with over 18,000 Christmas lights at it's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The tree is 40 ft high and performers from the Palace Theatre provide music and entertainment. Many other talented performers help to make this a truly memorable event.

Murrells Inlet 2006 Christmas Parade
December 3, 2006

Christmas parade marches down Business 17. Immediately following the parade, meet at Morse Landing Park with Santa and the gang. This event is a must-do for all the kids and the grown-ups who still have a lot of kid left in them. Happy Holidays! Christmas Parade starts at 4pm. Tree Lighting at 6:00pm.
