Legends of the Forest - February 1, 2006

Enjoy an interesting experience learning about the natural history of maritime plant and animal life at the Myrtle Beach State Park. The presentation includes slides and live animals. Please register before January 30, 2006. The cost is 5.00.

Columbia City Ballet's The Lion King of Mali
February 9-10, 2006

William Starrett’s choreography infuses classical ballet with African dance in this story of courage and determination. The Lion King of Mali is based on an eight-hundred year old West African Folk Tale.

11th Annual Horry County Museum Quilt Gala
February 26-27, 2006

Hosted by The Horry County Museum and held in 17,000 sq. ft. Ocean Lakes Family Campground Recreation Center Our annual quilt gala has grown to be an event that show more than two hundred quilts and quilted items per year. Hourly demonstrations will be held on this fine craft. The event is co-sponsored by Grand Strand Quilters.

Winter Parrot Head Festival - February 25, 2006

Warm up with hot music "Jimmy Buffett" style. Music by Jan "Big Bam Boom" Vaughan and The Little Big Band. Hot spiced mulled wine, vineyard tours, prize giveaway and more. Local artists & crafters will have their products for sale. Bring a portable chair and enjoy an afternoon of music, food, wine & fun.
