Shopping and Eating in Myrtle Beach!

Next to enjoying the beach and golfing, people love Myrtle Beach because the area offers a wide variety of shopping opportunities. Whether you're looking for salt water taffy to take home, or the perfect pair of shoes for your next cocktail party, you can find it in the Grand Strand.

And if all that shopping makes you hungry, your favorites are still here along with some new names and changes.

Coastal Grand Mall Celebrates First Anniversary!

Coastal Grand is one year old as of March 17th, and since this day it has entertained more than 5 million shoppers. If you have not been there yet, be sure to take a look on your next vacation. The exterior facade represents Myrtle Beach's coastal appeal while the inside represents South Carolina's low country. You will enjoy amenities such as seating areas, lighting and plants which tie into the low country and coastal themes.

Some of the new stores and restaurants due to open soon are Giti, Casual Corner, Petite Sophisticate, Jasmine, HTC Communications, Longhorn, Cracker Barrel, Red Lobster, Smokey Bones and Abuelo's Mexican Food Embassy.

We've already enjoyed other restaurants located on the out-parcels which include Sticky Fingers, Buckhead Colorado Steakhouse and Logan's Roadhouse Restaurant, but we're always looking forward to more good eating!

And Speaking of New Restaurants...

The builders are moving right along with Hamburger Joe's, located next door to Hudson's Flea Market in the Surfside/Garden City area. Carrabba's Italian Grill is now open in Murrells Inlet as well as California Dreaming next to Ryan's in Surfside.

What's Next on the Shopping and Eating Horizon?

Keep your eyes open for The Market Common which will intertwine residential and commercial properties. Developers say the shops will be high-end specialty stores. This new Urban Village will be located on the site of the former Air Force base in the heart of the Grand Strand.
