Long Bay Symphony - December 13-14
An
annual tradition on the Grand Strand, Handel's Messiah is presented
by the Long Bay Symphony Chamber Orchestra, combined area choirs

"Journey to Bethlehem-A Journey of
Love" - December 18-24
A
outdoor drama by The Christian Church at 1226 Burcale Road, Myrtle
Beach. The walking tour takes about one hour. Visitors should wear
comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Suggested donation
is $5; $3 for ages 12 and younger. Canned goods will be accepted.
Proceeds benefit Promise Land Crisis Center.

Beach Ball Classic - December 26-30
The
tournament began in 1981 with 8 teams, 4 in state and 4 out of state.
In the 22 years since then, the Beach Ball Classic has grown into
the premier high school holiday tournament in the United States.
16 teams from around the nation vie for the coveted championship
trophy.

S.C. Lifestyles Expo - January 9-10
The
Lifestyles Expo, held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, features
vendors and information booths focusing on issues of interest to
senior citizens. Exhibitors will offer cooking demonstrations, health,
fitness, fashion and beauty seminars, prizes, and live entertainment.

Grand Strand Boat Show January 16-18
This
is the 20th year that the Grand Strand Boat Association has presented
the Boat Show at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Exhibitors
will be displaying state-of-the-art boats, equipped with the latest
features.
Bring your kids too. They will have a great time in the Kids Fair
area, giving you time to enjoy the Show. The Kids Fair will have
a jumping booth, balloons, story telling, animals, and more, including
visits by Scooby Doo and Sponge Bob.
This year’s show will also include two Fashion Shows, featuring
all kinds of casual sportswear for men and women. There will also
be a Bathing Suit Contest on Saturday.

Seashells by the Seashore - January 22
Explore
the fascinating world of seashells at the Myrtle Beach State Park,
one of the last natural areas remaining along the South Carolina
coast. Learn how to identify the treasures found on the beach and
how these animals live.
Examine some live specimens during the indoor portion of the progam
and then take a stroll down the state park beach to see what treasures
the ocean has washed ashore.
