Myrtle Beach Holidays

Holidays on the Grand Strand seem to be a tradition with a lot of families. As I sit here thinking back on my own holidays in Myrtle Beach, I remember two specific family traditions, my grandmother’s pecan pie and spending a few days at the beach with my family. Now that I am older and living along the Grand Strand I am creating my own traditions. We still go somewhere else to stay for Christmas, where everyone gets a bed even though a few cousins still insist on bringing their sleeping bags. Our condo is tidy when a few of us come a day ahead to decorate. Local stores offer great last minute savings on Christmas trees and for New Year’s the fireworks are awesome in Myrtle Beach. The phone doesn’t ring just as Grandpa is about to say the blessing. So what may be a unique way of spending Christmas in your family has already or is becoming a tradition in many others.
