Activities for the Kids

Why spend additional money for things for your children to do while you are on vacation? Choose a resort that offers kids programs on-site. Many resorts have started offering this amenity as an added bonus for families who want to spend less and get more. One such resort in the Myrtle Beach area is The Myrtle Beach Resort; they offer a variety of activities that kids can enjoy at little or no additional cost and you don’t have to load the kids in the car and travel to an amusement area with long lines. You not only save money you save time which can then be used to enjoy other activities.

The Kid's program at the Myrtle Beach Resort is a great way for the kids to make new friends while on vacation and meet pen pals from across the country. (Not to mention the break it gives moms and dads). A point of interest at the Myrtle Beach Resort is that the counselors for the Kid's Program, are exchange students, so not only will your kid's get to meet other kids from across the country, they will get to meet young people from around the world.

If you’re ready to venture outside the resort for something to do, Myrtle Beach offers lots of inexpensive family fun that our community would love to share with our guests. Come in from the heat one day and visit The Burroughs and Chapin Art museum. This summer’s exhibit is: From Goodnight Moon to Art Dog: The World of Clement, Edith, and Thacher Hurd. The exhibit includes a full size picture of the “green room”, from the popular children's book, Goodnight Moon. It will be open June 9 through September 11 at the Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum and admission is free.
