| We're welcoming back our Canadian visitors to the 42nd annual Canadian-American Days Festival®, March 8-16. Highlights of the festival include the Little Olympics, International Kitefest, senior softball tournament, concerts, riverboat tours, South Strand Wildlife and History Day, and the St. Patricks Day Parade and Festival in North Myrtle Beach. The Canadian-American Days Festival® has been selected one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast for the past 12 years by the Southeast Tourism Society. The 1997 festival received The Shining Example Award for festival of the year in Category 1. This years official Welcome Receptions will take place Monday, March 10, between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon. Canadian and American visitors are invited to stop by any location to enjoy refreshments, entertainment, prize drawings, and a variety of booths showcasing area interests and attractions. Admission is free. The locations are: Pepper Geddings Recreation Center, 3205 N. Oak St., Myrtle Beach The Canadian-American Days Festival is sponsored by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. |
