| Shed
the dreary coat of winter and celebrate the start of spring
during Myrtle Beach’s 44th Annual Canadian-American Days
Festival®, which is being held March 12-20, 2005. Welcoming
our visitors from the north has become a tradition among many
hotels and resorts on the Grand Strand. The Myrtle
Beach Resort has extended it’s low winter rates to
include the Can-Am Festival and is also accepting Canadian dollars
at par! Reduced CAN-AM
rates at this popular resort are available on
line.
For four decades, the festival has welcomed our Canadian friends
with warm South Carolina sunshine, beach games, community-sponsored
activities, sporting events and musical productions. Traditionally,
the festival coincides with Ontario’s school holiday,
enabling the entire family to plan a vacation along the 60 miles
of clean, sandy beaches of the Grand Strand.
Highlights of the festival include the Little Olympics, International
Kitefest, concerts, riverboat tours, South Strand Wildlife and
History Day, St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in
North Myrtle Beach and the National Shag Dance Championship.
The Canadian-American Days Festival has been selected one of
the Top 20 Events in the Southeast for the past 12 years by
the Southeast Tourism Society.
