Spring at Brookgreen Gardens

Brookgreen Garden's will stay open until 8:00 PM during the month of April with an excursion on the Springfield pontoon boat at 5:30 PM.
 

 

Heritage Plantation Golf CourseTake at late afternoon excursion to enjoy the creeks that are only accessible to visitors on board the 48-foot pontoon boat known as the Springfield. During this guided tour you will learn about the tidal creeks and the history of the rice plantations that were located where Brookgreen Gardens is today.

Brookgreen Gardens is a National Historic Landmark where the flora and fauna of the area are preserved and beautiful objects of art are displayed in a natural setting. It is home to the most significant collection of figurative sculpture, in an outdoor setting, by American artists, in the world.

There is also a zoo filled with exotic animals at Brookgreen Gardens and this zoo holds the only zoo accreditation by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums on the coast of the Carolinas.

There will be sandwiches, soups and desserts available in the Old Kitchen.
