Grand Strand Boardwalks

Georgetown Harborwalk - For a real sense of what the Low Country was like in the 18th century make the trip to Georgetown South Carolina. Georgetown is the third oldest city in the state and residents have strived to preserve the original buildings and architecture of this earlier time. Georgetown added their harborwalk in the 1980's and it is a leisurely 1,500-foot stroll along the Georgetown waterfront. The boardwalk is lined with interesting shops, great food and beautiful scenery. Keep your eyes open and you just might see a pirate.

Myrtle Beach from the Murrells Inlet MarshwalkMurrells Inlet Marshwalk - Sometimes known as walking the boards, the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. Great food, music and fun along the back drop of the peaceful Inlet Waterway. The Marshwalk is a great place to catch a view of downtown Myrtle Beach from a different perspective.

Another popular boardwalk close by is the Riverwalk in Conway South Carolina. Not only will you find unique shopping, there are weekly festivals that bring people out in droves for live music, art, crafts, food and fun.

A new boardwalk is planned for the downtown area of Myrtle Beach. There is already a small boardwalk and area businesses and government are working together to extend it, linking all the family fun of this thriving area. It will be a great place to take a beachfront walk and enjoy the magnificent Atlantic Ocean without even getting sand in your shoes.

Come to Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand for some fun "Down at the Boardwalks".
