Bike Weeks at Myrtle Beach

Two of the biggest tourist events to take place each year in Myrtle Beach, are The Harley Davidson Spring Rally and the Atlantic Beach Bike Festival.

“These festivals bring needed excitement to the Grand Strand. It also lets the locals know that summer is here.” Says Lee Lear, General Manager for Resort Vacation Services at The Myrtle Beach Resort. “We look forward to this time at the resort as most of our other colleagues do along the strand. We get to see old friends and make new ones that we will look forward to seeing next year. We have even put into place this year a book early rate and promise the lowest rate possible.”

This year celebrates the 66th Annual Spring Bike Rally, making this the largest single Motorcycle Rally in the Carolinas! Every year more people enjoy Myrtle Beach Bike Week and the Grand-Strand of South Carolina. This is reflected in the attendance for Myrtle Beach Bike Week. This year over 300,000 motorcycle enthusiasts are expected for Myrtle Beach Bike Week. All Motorcycles are welcome at Myrtle Beach Bike Week! Twenty-nine years ago when the Atlantic Beach Bike Festival was formed, it was an exclusive Atlantic Beach Event. Formed in 1977, a group called the Flaming Knight Riders formed a motorcycle club, which, in 1982 received a charter as the Carolina Knight Riders motorcycle club. "Our purpose is being a motorcycle club," said Kenneth Gore, past president of the club. "No foolishness involved. We are a club and are here for whoever needs us. Thousands of bikers now flock to this beachfront community and the surrounding Grand Strand areas. The festival has expanded from a weekend event with a few hundred people to a weeklong celebration drawing crowds of over 100,000.
