Best of the Beach 2006

The Annual Best of the beach survey has heralded some great places in Myrtle Beach to get a bite to eat, see a movie, shop and more. The benefit of all this is to find out where to go to do what. An interesting perspective is to check out how local and vacationer's opinions are different and where we are in agreement. For the best place to stay while finding your own favorites check into The Myrtle Beach Resort.

For the Best of The Beach Bars Locals opted for the Dead Dog Saloon while visitors seemed to prefer Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville. Everyone seemed to like Liberty Steakhouse & Brewery. The favorite nightspot for live music was a unanimous vote for the House of Blues locals and visitors alike.

In the restaurant category everyone loves to grab a burger at the River City Cafe or Hamburger Joes, and for fine dining Thoroughbreds Restaurant ranked number one for locals and visitors.
The Sea Captain's House was the overall best pick for seafood and for all-you can eat visitors picked Original Benjamin's Calabash Seafood while, the locals went for Ryan's Family Steak House. For breakfast the local favorite was Eggs Up Grill while visitor's picked Spring House Family Restaurant.

Another popular category for this survey is the live entertainment available in Myrtle Beach. Carolina Opry is everyone's favorite spot to see the show.

These are just a few of the categories in this insightful survey. To see the full report click visit Myrtle Beach Online.
