The World Amateur Championship

The World Amateur Handicap Championship has been called "The One Event for All Amateur Golfers". Held annually in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina due to the abundance and diversity of courses in the Grand Strand, it has been a highly anticipated event for golfers from all over the world for 24 years.

The Grand Strand Area is home to over one hundred golf courses and has been called the Golf Mecca of the World. Nine of the Grand Strand courses were named in Golf Digest's prestigious "America's Top 100 Public Courses" list and all nine will be part of the Amateur World Handicap Championship rotation. This popular tournament ends with a Winner's Playoff at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club where the World Champion will be crowned. Each golf day ends with a party at what has become known as the 19th hole. The Myrtle Beach Convention Center provides a place for a huge party at the end of the day with food from the finest area restaurants, top shelf drinks, music and entertainment.
