Hooters Air Flys Into Myrtle Beach!

An airline started by the restaurant chain famous for chicken wings and scantily clad waitresses, has begun service from Atlanta to Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Hooters Air is flying four days a week to the beach and golf resort area of Myrtle Beach. Flights between Atlanta and Newark, N.J.will start soon.

Bob Brooks, owner of Atlanta-based Hooters of America, said he was not worried about starting an airline amid the current troubles in the industry. ``You think people won't travel anymore? They'll travel,'' Brooks said before the inaugural flight Thursday. ``The tough times will pass.''

Wearing "I love Hooters" stickers last week, Myrtle Beach area tourism leaders joined the hoopla over Hooters Air -celebrating the arrival of much-needed flights to the Grand Strand. So far, Hooters Air ticket sales are looking good, according to Mark Peterson, the airline's chief operating officer."We've actually been selling planes out," Peterson said. "Golfers and groups are buying the whole plane. Time will tell. We expect, as people get to know us, that they're going to like us." 1-800-FLY-HOOTERS or CLICK HERE!
